THE MISSION OF THE GREAT DAO IN THE THREE PERIODS OF UNIVERSALITY
 
 
More than 80 years ago[1], when God lowered the sacred peak for the first time in Vietnam, he laid the first brick for the Great Path of the Three Stages of Universality in this world. Since then, the Cao Dai building was established and at the same time given the mission of Tam Ky Pho Do. This third universal mission is called the Great Path mission because of God's privilege for the lower salvation that is, the last salvation before the end of a great cosmic cycle.
 
I. THE GREAT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MISSION:
 

The Supreme Being personally founded the religion.

 
We all know that when God initiated and established the way, He called himself "Cao Dai Tien Ong" and the religion He founded was called "Cao Dai Tao".
 Therefore, according to worldly conventions, it is possible to claim to be the Patriarch of the Cao Dai Way, but do not unwittingly identify the Lord of Wisdom with the patriarch; at the same time, do not religiousize and localize the salvation opportunity especially large and unprecedented.
 
A salvation propagated by the Supreme Being himself cannot be considered an ordinary missionary work like past religions have done. This is the period of "promoting the Great Way" and the operation of heaven's plan. The two words "Great Dao" are not for self-glorification or promotion, but because of the eternal, immutable characteristics, universality and comprehensiveness of THIEN DAO (DAO OF HEAVEN).
 
"Oh my children! I am the Lord of the universe, giving birth to all species and all things (through) many cycles, the destruction and evolution are the predestined miracles. That is why, at the dawn of time, I came to this land of Vietnam to open the Dharma, calling on all beings to soon establish merit and cultivate virtue, to guide all sentient beings to soon meditate in order to return to the realm of eternal enlightenment, or to enjoy the life of Holy Virtues" (01.01. 2. Implement the original source:
Thien Dao operates according to the cyclical law in which all things develop according to the cycle of "nutrition and destruction". The Supreme Being inaugurated the third stage of enlightenment is to carry out the original return at the end of the evolutionary cycle. Therefore, this Stage Three path is the implementation of the Great Dao mission because it fulfills the Heavenly Dao, the Divine Law that the Supreme Being called "the mystery predetermined by the Teacher". More than once, the Master has confirmed that origin.
 
"The Tao is the only path for all sentient beings from Me to the world and from the world you return to Me. I am the energy of Nothingness, so the Tao is the same. So how come in the lower period of my life I use the energy of Nothingness directly visible to the world to guide the recovery of the points of spiritual light I sent down to earth back to the Great Spirit of Light" (Ngoc Minh Dai, December 29, Binh Ngo, February 2, 1969)
 
3. Ultimate goal: This is also a characteristic of the Great Dao.
 
This goal is very great but feasible in the period of Tam Ky ( Third Stages ) Universal Due to the great Amnesty of God, due to the Dharma taught by the Teacher, due to the progress of the world, "Humanity has united, the Universe is fully realized", due to the desire for liberation of human beings.
"The Supreme Patriarch Vo Vi Dai Dao ( Giáo Tông Dai Dao ) teaches: "The power of the Dharma, the savior entity, must be responsible for all humanity. It is not only to solve spiritual problems, it is to solve the whole individual human being."
 
.So "total salvation" means the comprehensive salvation of individual humans and all humanity. Comprehensive means including both human and spiritual aspects, comprehensive means not leaving out any fundamental component.
This goal is achieved by applying the Dharma of the Great Dao to unite all beings, synthesizing the ancient and modern quintessence of humanity, bringing peace to the entire world.
 
So: “God + Tao + ten thousand living beings + human civilization”  establish the strength of the Great Mission.
 
So  The God taught :
,"I am about to complete the reconstruction,
Using the mysterious spirit of the Great Dao to operate;
The Master's power unites all living beings,
East and West, Ancient Metal forms the future". (CQ, February 15, Quy Hoi; March 29, 1983)
 
II. FOCUS OF THE MISSION OF THE GREAT DAO TAM KY PHO DO
  [ TKPD] ( Third Stages for Salvation ).
 
1. Restoring Humanity, creating harmony for Humanity towards the Universal Humanity:
.- In terms of human life, the Universal Humanity is an ideal of the world, an aspiration of humanity and also the goal of the Great Religion Mission. The so-called ideal certainly cannot be achieved easily. However, God said it was not the Supreme Being who planted rice on a rock or gave military books to illiterate people. Because He knows that His children have inherited His precious capital from the moment he left. The only problem is knowing how to apply and exploit it so that everyone can contribute to the common cause of the entire human world.
Vốn liếng ấy chính là Nhân bản.That capital is Humanity.

 
The Tam Ky Pho Do mission chose the breakthrough step to realize the "universal world path" which is to restore Humanity because humans have intentionally or unintentionally lost that noble nature. Due to being intoxicated with life, immersed in a sea of ​​desires, or ecstatic on the throne of vanity and arrogance.
 
Therefore, the Supreme Patriarch Vo Vi Dai Dao teaches: "The most noble human nature towards all things and creatures is also very important to itself in a comprehensive life, which is to live according to the human nature in the sense of immortality and immutability [...] but it has metamorphosed a lot in the night of the six consciousnesses but thought it was still brilliant and beautiful like butterfly wings, like fresh flowers, in thousands of vain and meaningless praises" (Agency, 15.4 Tan Rooster, 1981)
Reminds the evolutionary level of humans standing above all things, all things exist by instinct and animal nature, but humans have more intelligence and divine energy (good energy)
 
“The reason is complete, the form and spirit are complete. “
.- Humans are a subject who has evolved through an arduous and wonderful path of countless lifetimes to reach a position close to Heaven, but still must learn, cultivate, and serve to continue to evolve until the end of the path, which is the eternal sacred realm. The world is not the final stage of the evolutionary path. But worldly life is a condition for continued evolution. If you are complacent or dissatisfied in this realm, you will be hindered or degenerate.
,“Considering the social situation,
Know how to change and practice at any time;
Together we will clear the blindness,
. “Lead me out of unjust prison. “
               (ĐHCN.- Nhân sanh  nhất quán )(DHCN.- Human life is consistent)
 
Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara taught: "Life is temporary, that's true. Tao is birth, that's also true. Also in the law of success of the virtue of filial piety, has bestowed upon humanity a full and divine apparatus so that enlightened people know how to bring their own being to the cyclical universe to understand life, that is, morality [...] The nature of nature does not make life temporary, but it is the place where human desires change that is temporary" (Truc Lam Zen Dien, October 20, 1973)
 
Humans naturally carry the mission of humanity when born as humans. Indeed, humans were molded and born by the Creator to contribute creatively to beautify human life while perfecting themselves and promoting humanity to the level of holiness and holiness. Humans are a masterpiece of the Creator, but they are not an artistic statue to be admired. On the contrary, their miraculous value is that they continue to create non-stop creations to serve the common evolution of their fellow human beings and all things.
Guanyin Bodhisattva once reminded:
 
"As soon as a human being comes out of the mother's womb, he or she receives a favor from heaven and earth, from humanity. If one does not do or leave behind a good spiritual legacy called repaying gratitude to heaven and earth, repaying humanity, that is nothing more or less than a parasite, not to be called the most sacred of all things" (The Agency, 15.9 Quy Suu, 1973).
And the Pope Vo Vi Dai Dao also affirmed the mission of micro-humanity: "Each person has his or her own mission, all humanity is a mission in this evolutionary field"  (The Agency, January 18, Tan Hoi, 1971)
 
People are living and working in different fields and situations, but each living and working with a sense of duty as a human being is above humanity.
 
- But the most important special point in the mission to restore Humanity of Dai Dao Tam Ky Pho Do is to open the relationship between Man and Heaven. Because  Humanity is not only the heart of humanity, but ultimately implies the Godhead within humans. Therefore, Humanity is the connection point of Spirituality with Humanity. The Great Dao mission teaches people to find that key in the inner, pure and pure heart.
 
 
"Return to your heart, dear world,
Returning to God's simplicity,
No ambition, no injustice,
 "A strong country and a peaceful family depend on unity."

Zen Master Van Hanh once emphasized the secret of human evolution as follows:
 
"When humans understand morality and find the key point that is the key to the relationship between humans and Heaven, they will cultivate themselves, create themselves, become independent, and advance themselves to become Gods, Saints, Immortals, and Buddhas easily."  (Minh Ly Thanh Hoi, June 2 Canh Tuat, 1970)
 
.This is a mission to return to religion
The religions arising from the Great Religion, throughout human history with the purpose of saving people, have undergone many changes that distance them from the true tradition of their ancestors. Once extremely differentiated, religion can no longer carry out its mission of saving humanity. If religion wants to retain its original nature and pursue the goal of practical and comprehensive salvation, it must follow the law of returning to one principle, that is, restoring the spirit of the Great Tao, upholding a pure teaching that leads human beings to evolve in the world and liberate them beyond the world, returning to their spiritual origin, the Great Spirit of Light.
